There are numerous additional local attractions that are handy to Serendipity's central location.  They include 3 local golf courses, three (small) cruise ships, several museums, craft and art fairs, local farmer's markets, and many antique shops.  Watkins Glenn, located at the southern end of Seneca Lake (About a 40 minute drive from Serendipity) features NASCAR and SCCA races and the famous Watkins Glen gorge - scenic trail along a magnificent gorge (www.watkinsglen.com).  Farther out, there are malls and larger shopping centers in Rochester, Corning, Bath, and Elmira.
